Clarisky Business Goes International - LFW Day 1

Yes that's right, you read correctly, I am at London Fashion Week!

How/when did this happen you ask?  Well let's just say one minute it was a regular Friday afternoon at the office, and the next minute I was informed I got a couple invites to shows, and then 15 hours later I was on a plane to London... so I don't really know.

There has been a whirlwind of events over the past 48 hours but here is a rundown of how my first day in London went....

I arrived bright and early at 6 a.m. with 70 lbs of luggage (I don't pack well under pressure) and only a night booked at a random hostel.  Sunday morning, the streets were empty, it was sunny, and so surreal.  I snapped some gorgeous pics while I made the trek to the hostel

Not sure which one I love more!
I made it to the Travel Joy Hostel in Chelsea, and it was adorable, the staff were super friendly and the view of the Thames River was amazing.  Unfortunately I realized I couldn't stay here, I had way too much luggage with, me and my monopolization of the bathroom for prep time was going to be a problem. On any other trip I would have stayed here, but it wasn't going to work for this trip.

With no place to stay, I quickly had to do some hunting and found the most incredible flat-style B&B in the core of London. So modern and cute + breakfast cooked for you in the morning PERFECT!

Home for the next couple of days

Once I got all settled I headed out and checked out Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guards.  There were too many people for me to be able to see anything, but I caught a glimpse of a couple of fuzzy hats and saw members of the royal family at the gate, so I was pleased.

I then headed to Somerset House for the London Fashion Week Exhibition.  I was in such a daze, half due to no sleep deprivation and half due to a serious fashion overload.  The pieces from the runway shows were on display so you I was able to have some serious one on one time. clothes, shoes, jewelry, the works!! I snapped some pics of some of my favs

Registration was probably the highlight of my
